Documented crash chronology

Missouri State Highway Patrol report 240319216 records a three-vehicle crash on June 25, 2024 at 10:18 a.m. on Missouri Route 5 south of County Road 345 in Howard County. The report describes Vehicle 1 slowing to make a left turn, Vehicle 2 striking its rear, Vehicle 1 entering the path of Vehicle 3, and Vehicle 3 striking Vehicle 1. Mark S. Thomann was the driver of Vehicle 3. The report later records his death at University Hospital on July 2, 2024.
